Karma Mobility takes a stand

The Karma team firmly believes that we are far from the traditional mobile data provider.  Our goal is to provide customers with innovative hardware and service solutions that are better than those offered by “The Big Four” and protect our customers from unannounced surveillance and manipulation.

Congress recently repealed their previous rules that required internet providers to get customer permission to collect and sell their online habits and information.  Selling user browsing history is a big money maker for the companies in a position to do so.  What sites are visited, what is done on those sites and where users are when surfing are all components of the data being collected by carriers and content providers every day now.  Karma is dedicated to providing a solution that protects our customers from these new security and privacy concerns.

Additionally, the FCC voted to remove the previously instituted “net neutrality” rules. This means that the same carriers that throttle data when they determine “too much” data has been consumed by a user, will now be able to legally throttle internet speeds to websites that compete with them or provide services that they do not support.

Karma believes that our customers should have equal and fair opportunities to use the internet without having surfing behaviors tracked and sold. Enter Karma Black. This new product allows customers to surf the web in complete privacy. Your location, history, and personal information will be out of sight from any meddlesome eyes through relaying your encrypted connection through VPN servers and relay servers maintained by Karma and technology partners.

Karma has always promoted equal internet access for all and will continue to stand by that legacy. Whether you are using a Karma Go or Karma Black, your WiFi speeds are not throttled, your online information is not sold, and your web access is not prioritized. It’s time to do away with the large, greedy internet providers and start using one that you can trust.   Karma wants to make it very clear that, that although it may be legal to sell customer information, ethically it is a breach of privacy and we will not confide in the selling of their customers’ information.
